Peace and Blessings Family, Now and then, during this time of the year, I sequester myself ? meaning I go into meditation and to some extent seclusion mode. For me it is a self-retreat, one that my inner self demands that my outer self-does. Many of us do the same; we evaluate the year, look for any lessons learned, assess our future and make plans. This is a normal mode of development, and should be considered normal actions. If one is living above the level of a beast, one will evaluate oneself on a regular schedule, for that is living on the level of Man. Beast Level It is easy to see one living on the level of a Beast. The beast level is the immediate gratification of one?s flesh. Food for the hunger, water for the thirst, sex for the lust, heat for the cold, cool for the extreme heat, cover for the naked, and shelter from the environment. These are the basic requirements for one living on the level of a beast. Notice there is no spiritual or intellectual search for knowledge, love, sharing, care, compassion, or outreach for or to another. It is all about self and the gratification of self. Level of Man Are we living what we say? Are we living righteous lives? Are we treating each other with respect and love, as we say we do? Are we peaceful and respectful, or are we war mongers, liars, manipulators, envious, full of ego, arrogant, greedy, duplicitous, thieves, hypocrites, or as some may say, acting like devils in flesh? Do we respect others and ourselves? Do we strive to live up to the dictates of The CREATOR, or do we disgrace ourselves? Those are some serious questions to be asked, no doubt about it. While the questions are honorable, the honest answers matter most. Can we look at ourselves in the mirror and know that while we are indeed human and will fail from time to time, we mean well. Yes, we fail the glory of The CREATOR - that is only to be expected as long as we live in flesh. However, I humbly ask do we take charge and take responsibility for our actions and failures? In my mind, the true definition of an adult is not age related. To me, an adult is one who accepts responsibility for ones responsibilities, actions and the repercussions of one?s actions. In my mind, a righteous adult is one who readily accepts responsibilities for one?s failures, but who is trying one?s best to minimize one?s failures. This person apologizes when he or she have hurt some one, atones for the action and makes a management decision to curtail that behavior. We don't stop something because we fear the outcome, but because we acknowledge the action was incorrect and we strive to be correct people. Level of The CREATOR The level of The CREATOR is one we should strive to gain. That level is one of judging one?s actions and speech prior to its implementation. No matter our personal frustrations, one is to be careful of the words used during that time, knowing they may hurt not only some one else, but ourselves and the way we are viewed. Prior to verbal attacks, slander, oppressive actions, harassment or ill treatment of another, we should keep silent and be still. We do this understanding that what we say in anger or frustration will never be able to be sucked back into our mouths, and any damage done during that time is permanent. On this level most wars would be avoided, friendships saved, love affairs continued, and peace would permeate the world. You see, one would not put one's ego, attitude, real or imagined station in the world or one's circle before any one else. This is where the adage "Do unto others as you would want done unto you" is very real. Please join me in striving to live and love on the level of The CREATOR from this point onward.
