END OF YEAR
'1998'
Dear
Family,
So
much is happening, I am at a loss how to capture it all in a few
lines. First of all there is the on-going struggle for the right of Brother
Mumia Abu-Jamal to live! Mobilize
now for Mumia!
Mumia's
AG Support
There
is the also the need to stand up to the "powers that be" in regards to
Sistah Assata Shakur. The Congressional Black Congress failed to
support Sis Assata and as a result, supported a call for our Sistah to
be sent back to New Jersey. That was a disgrace, and they should
continue to be called on the carpet for their actions.
Selling out Assata, by Mumia
There
is the need to fight for the rights of our little Brothers and Sisters
(our youth). There are under attack more now than ever, and we must
stop their murder and incarceration.

We
must bring our Family into the Technological Age. Far too many of
us are not on-line. While everyone does not have the resources to
own a computer nor get "on-line", there should be a community Internet
resource in every community Library! We must make sure we can access
all information
available. Our children deserve nothing less than the best we can
give. Our schools and libraries should be hooked up to the internet!
What are we paying taxes for if not to have the best education and resources
available for our children? By the way Family, the internet is a
good thing for parents to get into. I know, I am preaching
to the choir here. If you were not on-line, you would not be able
to read this. So, let's share the wealth, and get the Family on-line.
Show Brothers and Sisters the net, and see how fast they run to get hooked-up.
Sometimes all we need to do is show and answer questions.....
On
another tip, it seems some Sistah has lost her mind. She has decided
to sell slave shackles as jewelry! Imagine! The Sistah sounds like
she is confused. Feel free to give her a wake up call!!!
Keep
in mind family, as we walk into the year 2000, we have much to do.
Our future depends on the babies, what we teach them, what we show them,
how we act around them, and our demands of them.
Look
at the babies, Family,
are they ready to take up the struggle? If not, why not? If
not, what will you do to change that? It's up to all of us, you and
I! I got a plan, do you? If not, why not?
I am and will ever be,, Yah
Sistah!!
