MANHOOD  TRAINING

Who am I to ask for it?  I am not a Man, I am a Woman!

I am a Woman who sees the need in the community.
I am a Woman who sees the need for it in her life,
with the Little and Big Brothers I know.

And so I ask.
I ask The NOI.
I ask the Black Jews.
I ask the Black Christians.
I ask the 100 Concerned Black Men.
I ask all of those who would say ... "We are here!"

Where are you when a Brother beats a Sistah?
Where are you when a Brother refuses to work?
Where are you when a Brother disrespects a Sistah?
Where are you then?

Make yourself known!
Show yourselves,
on Saturday mornings,
when he is lazy and don't want to help with the housework
or Saturday night when he wants
our last dollars for some weed or crack.

Where are you when our children need their Fathers?
Where are you when they refuse to pay
for the upkeep of their children?
Where are you when their children fail
because they have no Fathers to speak of?

Be there then!

Where are you Manhood Mentors,
When we really need you?
