In the recent past, it has been noticed that some Men of color (Brothers) are tripping  when it comes to relationships with Sisters.  Get these scenarios and understand my concern.

• A Brother, when told the relationship was no longer satisfying, and was asked to leave the home owned by the Sister, said and I quote "If anyone moves, it will be you."

• A Brother, when told the relationship was no longer a productive one, and was asked to leave the home owned by the Sister, said and I quote "I will leave when I am f****** ready to leave."

• A Brother, when questioned by a Sister why he did not honor a promise he made, said and I quote "You need to mind your business, that is no business of yours, and I will not talk about it with you.  That is low on my list of priorities, so it don't matter.  If you continue this line, you will damage our relationship."

I am at a lost as to the reasoning which brought about these outburst.  The statements and attitudes were disrespectful, obnoxious, manipulative, pushy, and disgusting.  Somewhere, somehow, the above mentioned Brothers lost their minds.  To let those words slip from their mouths to Black Women, showed a lack of respect for:

(a).  The Sisters
(b).  The so-called relationships
(c).  Themselves

What have I missed?  When did Brothers, whom I cheered at the MMM (Million Man March) decide that the pledge they made that historic day no longer mattered?  When did Brothers decide it was perfectly fine to intimidate Sisters?  When did this start?

When these situations were mentioned to an AG writer and his wife, the Brother was shocked to hear of such.  The  Wife-Sister was not surprised and made a comment that the majority of Black Men are of the same mentality.  This writer agreed with the Wife-Sister, but hopes she is wrong!

Dear Brothers, please stop this ignorant madness.  It is beneath you, and does NOT endear you to anyone who hears of it.  Please revisit the pledge of the MMM, and re-pledge to respect your Sisters.

To do anything less is very dangerous! Please remember that every Sister has a Brother who will not allow you to disrespect his Sister.  Do not consider that comment as a threat.  Consider it as truth, and watch your behavior, because we are watching you, and we are not impressed!  (See Drop Squad Article of Truth for additional information.)
