HOW DEEP IS YOUR FUNK ?

Music fills my mind, soothes my spirit, and eases stress.  Music is the lamp in the window that welcomes me home.  Music is the thing I remember most from my childhood.  Every important event was marked by it, for it was loved in my home and filled it to the rafters.

Music is the environment I live and thrive in.  I have more bounce to the ounce, can groove with a mood, and have pizzazz with jazz.

I love The GOD-Father of Soul -"The Hardest Working Man in Show Business",,, Mr. James Brown!!, Loose Ends, BBD, Cherrelle, The Purple Brother, Johnny Gill, Change, Sheila E., Nancy Wilson, Tu Pac, Morris Day, War, Gil Scott-Heron & Brian Jackson, New Birth, TLC, The Time, Duke Ellington, Third World, PE, KRS1, Anita B., AWB, Cameo, Cannonball Adderly, Phyllis Hyman, the Ice Brothers (Cube and T), George Clinton (the Master Funk-a- teer), Lady T., Mary J., Lady Day, Sarah Vaughn, Slave, Cab Calloway, Bob Marley, Millie Jackson, Ms. Patty, Ms. Sarah, Ms. Nona, Maxwell, Mary Jane Girls, Rick James, and an all star cast of musical greats.  I can't be pinned down to a sound, I am the original music lover, the Master Groover, a beat addict.

There is an unwritten law, as we age we are supposed to stop loving music.  I can't, to love music is my nature!  Give me a beat and a great set of lyrics, and I am once again my original self, the little kid who was always jamming.  I am one with the sound, I don't hear it, I feel it.  It rattles through my body and creeps into my soul.  "Creep, creep, creep, creep", as Luther says!

As Patti says, "Music is the way I live.  Music is my life!"  Keep on jamming', music is one of ALLAH/JAH/GOD's greatest gifts.
