We see them, walking down the street, the tight skirts short enough to reveal ample thighs and tight enough to accent rotund buttocks. We see, we stare, we fantasize. Is this normal? Yes it is, we say. Is it right for us guys to continue to ogle women? Why not? What harm does it do?
Well, brothers, the harm it does was recognized long ago by those much wiser than we. That is why, in some cultures, women are forbidden to dress in ways that can be considered provocative by anyone. Primitive culture, you say. Maybe. But someone recognized, somewhere down the road of history that men, when stimulated by the sight of a women, are effected in ways not consistent with taking care of his nuclear family.
Let me ask you this. How many of you brothers would appreciate other men ogling your woman the way you ogle the woman you see walking down the street in that state of sexy undress? I know the answer. Not many. The few that would, well ...
Why do women do this? They do it to attract men, of course. It is natural, in the scheme of things, for the female to attract a mate. Nature is brutal. That is why, in the days when mankind was young on this planet, Brute force ruled. The survival of the fittest. Who got the most desirable women in the tribe? The fittest man, which in those days, was usually the biggest and strongest.
Did the women complain, and yearn for the smaller tribesmen from which they had been taken away from? Not hardly. Don't believe all those "Romeo and Juliet" stories about romantic love. Nature didn't have time for romantic love. It was raw sex that would cause the species to survive. A woman had two choices: To be raped once in a while by one big man or be raped often by many smaller men. Of course, they chose the first option. Not many women in the harems of the kings felt themselves unfortunate.
Of course, with the passage of time, "fittest" became less synonymous with size and strength. Other factors came into play such as intellect, and business savvy. It was still survival of the fittest. Somewhere along the line, man began to consider himself civilized. No more brutal rapes. Romantic love was born. But man's primitive nature remained intact, only to be confounded by a system of rules and a code of morality that defied the natural scheme of things.
We no longer rape women, physically (most of us don't anyway) but we still rape them in our minds. Brothers, the steps toward real civilization involves a certain discipline of the mind which allows us to rise above the temptations of the wild. It is not easy. It will not be easy.
You
can have women who you love and respect or you can have women who you desire
and deplore. Which will it be? The women will give you what you want but
they have to know what you want. What do you want? This page is open
for your responses.
