Allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Tyree Amala, and I am one of the reporters, and so far its Editor and Publisher.  Anyone who wants one or more of these jobs is welcome to apply. (Smile)

The concept of The AG, as it is commonly known, was sent by ALLAH/GOD/JAH, who whispered into the ears of friends who told me to write, after listening to me go on and on for a year or more.  Of course, as we do, I was reluctant to do what HE wanted.  "What would I write about, how much time would it take and who wants to read what I had to say?" were some of the questions on my mind. But write I did, and HE changed those questions to "How do I put all of this, on a few pages?"  Here I am six years later, with a few readers, and many new on-line Brothers and Sisters.  We, the writers and I, will attempt to share our way of looking at various situations we see.

The writers of The Anacostia Gazette are a true diverse blend of Black people.  We are teen-ish to grown-ish, male and female, Students, Self Employed, American, Caribbean, Muslim, Christian, Non-Domination, Original African Theology, Militant, Revolutionary Blak people.  We have traveled to or lived around the world, and understand we are all Afrikan descendants and related.  We have diverse points of view, but always agree our people are in serious danger and we are determined to be a part of the solution, not a part of the problem.  We will never sell-out, capitulate, nor turn into Rag-head, Huck-a-Buck, Jig-a-Boo, or Bald-head Negroes.  We are Blak Men and Women who pledge to tell the truth, even if it hurts.

If you have been directed by HIM to do anything, save yourself a few trials and tribulations and do it, whatever it is.  If you wish to contact us, submit an article, poem, idea, thought, comment, disagree, or ask questions please feel free to do so. If you also have the need to start a newsletter or on-line publication, please do so. We can never have enough truth or knowledge.  This undertaking is not about ego, nor is it about attention, it is about sharing knowledge.  The Holy Bible says, "My people are dying for lack of knowledge."  While it is a sad but true statement, we have a responsibility to give drink to all that thirst, and feed all that hunger!!

If you feel the need to send hate mail, threaten our writers, flame, are a member of the KKK, or any other craziness, please refrain (as in just say no!)  We will respond, air your madness including your E-Mail address, for all the world to see and encourage them to respond. Please save yourself the time, energy, aggravation, and a serious problem.  This is your last warning!
