TRIFLAVA

TRIFLAVA can be seen at:

Mocha Hut - 1301 U Street NW, Washington, DC - Every 2nd Saturday 8 - 11 PM

Artmosphere Cafe in MD - Every Wednesday 7:30 PM - 10 PM

This collection of New Age Black Men will remind you of your musical past, jam with you in the present, and offer a positive musical future.

Imagine hearing a cow bell, and seeing a chair (that's right a chair) being played like a cow bell! That is one of the musical memories I have of TRIFLAVA.

Please experience the musical collection of Blackness!

About TriFlava:
"TriFlava is a progressive hip-hop and beyond band consisting of three members, Christylez Bacon (emcee, beatbox, guitar, djembe), Slyce-D (emcee, poet, beatbox), and Myke P. (piano, guitar, djembe, etc).  All members are from the Southeast section of the District Of Columbia.  Christylez and Myke P. started performing together around September 2005, however Christylez and Slyce-D was friends since 8th Grade, when they called themselves, Flava.  With all of them being students at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, they crossed paths and connected musically.  With the addition of super-musician Myke P. (Mychael Pollard), they add the prefix tri, meaning three and became the urban musical ensemble, TriFlava"

I am very pleased and honored to be the Official TRIFLAVA Fairy GOD-Mother.

My Review: Unexpected Pleasures
Rating: WONDERFUL
Author: The Anacostia Gazette

You may not know of Mr. Kuku, but once you take some down time and listen to Mr. Kuku, you will love Mr. Kuku. Trust me, turn off the phone, unplug the door bell, tell people you are running away for the weekend, and put Mr. Kuku
on your box.  Then you will know why his ratings are as nice as they are.  The man has a gift, and he is using the gift in a wonderful way.

The Absence of Cool - The Review

My Review: The Absence of Cool
Rating:
HE'S NOT COOL, HE'S MY BROTHER
Author: The Anacostia Gazette

Kuku has a wonderful and great heart, which is quite evident in his music. He is one of the last romantics in musical history. His music smoothly enters your ears, works its way to your heart, where you understand every lyric, beat, thought and intention.  If you love romance and love, you will love Mr. KuKu. He is a "crooner" in a time where "crooners" are not commonly found.

I thank Bro. Kuku for his quote of this review of his wonderful work.
Bro. Kuku, keep doing the thang!
You are blessed with a wonderful gift from The CREATOR.
